Done and done !!

This week Adam finished two major tasks. He completed his summer internship on Wednesday and this afternoon he completed ( with the help of a few) the SBS class of 2009 yearbook. What a week, I am sure he is exhausted.

Roller Coasters

Well after an uneventful week of vacation, yesterday we went to Alton Towers. We were assured that it was the best amusement park around so we took the 2 and a half hour drive to see for ourselves.
We had a good time and rode a few different roller coasters. One called Air has you facing forward on your stomach for most of the ride and then flips you on your back. Another called Oblivion drops you straight down into a dark hole.... I honestly looked at the ride and thought it looked scary.
My favorite part about the park is that the park surrounds yet another English castle. The park had a pond, lots of grass, trees and walking paths all throughout as well. It was such a pretty walk to get throughout the park.

This is us on Oblivion. We are in the front row on the right.

{Mom these aren't our videos but I grabbed them from YouTube for you to see.
The second one you might want to start at 30 seconds in. }

Another nice weekend

Today is a beautiful day in Oxford. Adam and I went to a Vegan festival in town and ended up meeting some friends. We all ended up walking in Port Meadow and then picking raspberries.
On the way back, Jackson totally shocked us by going for a swim, something he has always been afraid of. It was really cute and luckily Jayesh was right there with the camera.

Vacation

Well I have been home for a week ( never mind the weekend trip) with no work to do.
Strange feeling and of course I am bored already. Right now Adam is continuing his job search and we are looking for temporary apartments in Oxford so we aren't homeless while we figure out whatever our next step is.

Wednesday night Adam and I met some other students at Port Meadow to watch the meteor shower but... it was so cloudy we couldn't see a thing. It was still a beautiful nighttime walk.

This is just a picture I took on my walk home yesterday. I thought it was too pretty a sight not to share. The tree was covered in butterflies but unfortunately by the time I got my phone out, many of them decided to leave.

Belgium

This weekend I went to Brugge & Brussels, Belgium. It was a great weekend and I was even pleasantly surprised at all of the yummy vegan chocolate that I was able to find !

We had a wonderful time walking around the cities but found that we spent most of our time ( and money) buying chocolate.

Pierre Marcolini
- A really Posh chocolate store. Here is a selection of their truffles along with the violet and rose truffle that Alysha bought. She said they were so yummy that she went back and bought more !!

Some of th
e waffle choices in Belgium. We learned that the locals eat them with fruit or sugar, however, Alysha opted for the more delicious version with Strawberries and Chocolate.

Just a few yummy chocolate pictures. I thought the penguins were funny and the chocolate bark looked so yummy that Nancy went back to buy some.

This is just one small wall in a beer store they literally had hundreds of different flavors.

Meanwhile Adam stayed home with the puppies. On Sunday he went into London to take part of a documentary on MBA students for the history channel. I can't actually imagine who would want to watch it but if it does air, we will be sure to share the details : )

Back in Oxford

Well after two awesome weeks of visiting, Adam and I are both back in Oxford.
It was great to get home yesterday and see Adam and the dogs but I am missing everyone in New York already.

My visit was full of visiting lots of friends and family as well as meeting some new people and puppies.

Here are a few random photos from the trip home.
