Around Oxford

I have been bringing the camera out with us lately as I am starting to feel really nostalgic knowing that our time in Oxford is ending soon. Here are few photos of the many beautiful sights in Oxford.

Christmas Lanterns

Tonight we met a few friends downtown to watch a parade of local school children carrying lanterns that represent buildings in Oxford. The children marched to city centre and all of the Holiday lights were lit up along their path .

There were other cute holiday events, carols, ice sculptures and musicians performing as well.

Zena and Jackson came with us as well. Zena didn't seem impressed by the noise, people or the cold, however, as usual Jackson had a great time.

Happy Thanksgiving

I hope that you are all enjoying a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday.

Adam and I just had our Thanksgiving dinner at Christ Church College.
This is the filming location of the great hall scenes in Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone.
We also had a little tour of the dining hall and the grounds as well : )

This is how thrilled Adam was before dinner.

This is how thrilled I was after diner .

What a week

Well this has been a long, stressful, and exhausting week. Some reasons aren't blog appropriate however, I will share that I resigned from my position here in Oxford and Adam and I are in the process of making arrangements to head back to the US. Please no questions, that is about as far as we are in the planning process. Not sure where we are staying, how long we will be there, where we are working ...

On a lighter note, we have been doing a few tourist things here in Oxford. Last night we joined a few friends on Bill Spectres ghost tour. It was an entertaining tour of Oxford and we learned all the local ghost stories as well. We brought Zena and Jackson with us for the walk. Jackson was very entertaining as he tended to react at all the right times during the tour guides stories.

Today we went to the Ashmolean Museum, one of the larger historical museums in Oxford. The Ashmolean however, it has been under renovation since we arrived in Oxford.

Not much to report

Adam arrived home safely after his crazy week in the US
He enjoyed visiting with the family and friends that he was able to see in between all of the driving and interviewing.

This was a slow weekend here. Adam spent most of his time catching up on work that he missed when he was at home. Saturday I went to London to visit a few Oxford friends that moved to London. Unfortunately the weather was pretty miserable for walking around all day, however, it was nice to see the ladies and baby Amelia though.

Good Luck Adam !!

Well there isn't very much to report this week on my end. Adam is currently on an airplane headed to New York. He has a few interviews in the Northeast this week, however it was cheaper to fly out over the weekend so the company didn't mind him going a few days early. He left today and gets to spend a whole day and a half at home. I am quite jealous, however, he has a really busy next couple of days. He will go from NYC, to Syracuse, to Boston, to somewhere in Connecticut and then back to JFK with a few job interviews in between, all in five days.

Happy Halloween

We hope that you all had lots of fun celebrating Halloween yesterday, and more importantly we hope it didn't snow for the trick or treaters.

I spent the day making Halloween sugar cookies and watching the old Halloween movies. Last night we went to a friend's house for a Halloween party.
