Zena and Jackson go to Wales

This weekend we took the dogs to Brecon Beacons National Park in Wales. We stayed in a cute little town called Merthyr Tydfil and then walked on several trails throughout the park.
We all had a wonderful time and it took the dogs about two minutes to pass out when we finally got home.

Back to the grind

Well the past week has been rather uneventful(meaning no blog updates). Mom and Dad flew home on Wednesday. (All went well and the jet leg wasn't too bad either) 

Thursday and Friday I did a lot of relaxing while Adam finished up his final paper for Hillary term. 

Over  the weekend, Zena and Jackson got to go into town and we discovered a new part of the Port Meadow. They walked for miles and were exhausted when they got home. Needless to say Jackson was quite happy. 

Monday, I went back to work and Adam started getting ready for the term. His final term starts next week but he did have three classes today.

The weather here has been wonderful the last few weeks, sunny and mid 60's  :) 

Captain Jack

Today was the last day for my parents to tour Oxford. We went into town to get a few souvenirs and ended up renting a paddle boat. The weather was perfect and we all really enjoyed or boat tour. I have to say, however, that Jackson seemed to have the most fun. He kept wandering back and forth on the boat, watching the geese and ducks, and he almost walked onto another boat.

Happy Easter

Well we are back. Everyone was pretty tired today and took advantage of the opportunity to sleep in this morning.

We spent Friday morning in Torino, Italy and then drove towards our hotel in Nice, France. We decided to stop in Monte Carlo on the way and ended up being very pleasantly surprised by how beautiful it was. We decided to spend the remainder of the day there and then returned on Saturday as well. Sunday we headed into Nice for a bit and then headed to Marseille to get our return flight home.

It was a great trip and we were happy that Dad and Mom were able to get a taste of Europe.

More Europe

Still in Europe and enjoying ourselves. It has been an interesting and hilarious trip so far. Mom and Dad seem to be enjoying their time and observing all of the differences in culture.

After Paris, we stayed in a small French city outside of Geneva ( Switzerland.) We found the town to be a great place for shopping but since we weren't there for shopping, we decided to stay only one day.

We then drove to Torino, Italy yesterday. When we arrived, we went right to dinner at a restaurant where we could not read the menu and our servers didn't speak English, it was interesting but worked out alright. Today we drove into town and it was pretty frightening. The drivers here aren't very sensible and all seem to drive using different traffic rules. I was very happy that I wasn't doing the driving but felt pretty bad for Adam who has done all of the driving. Tomorrow we will go back into Torino for a bit and then head back to France.

On Thursday and Friday my parents and Adam continued to explore Oxford.
On Saturday we all drove to Liverpool . We went to see the Beatles Story museum, and the Cavern Club ( word of advice - save your money on the museum and go around the corner to the real Cavern Club.)
On Sunday we flew out to Paris. We walked around and saw the outside of the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower. Today Mom and Dad went through the Louvre which they said that they really enjoyed. Meanwhile Adam and I went to Notre Dame and then walked around some parks in town. Tomorrow Morning, we are headed to Geneva Switzerland.

April Fools ??

Update... Here is the only photo. This is the car that they got into, unfortunately you can't actually see anything : (



My parents and Adam are in London for the day. They just called to say that they just saw the Obama's, specifically Michelle Obama and "someone else in the car but who else would it be?" leaving Buckingham Palace.
I look forward to seeing the pictures that they took to see if this is more than an April Fools joke ; )
