" Happy Thanksgiving"

Several of the families here in Oxford celebrated Thanksgiving today. It was fun, everyone brought food from their country and we had had a feast of goodies.

Funny you should ask. I can't find cranberries here !!! I looked in at least four different grocery stores and can only find dried cranberries. Strange...

Aunt Andrea was just at my house we cut up celery & onions for stuffing. She brought me flowers for the table they are very pretty too. We have 2 turkey's, 10 lb potato's to mash, yams, corn, an obscene amount of bread for dressing, gravy fixings, pies, fried celery, and home made bread. Everything is ready and waiting to be cooked. Andrea and her kids are coming over, all my kids are home, and Orion will be here too. With any luck we will get to see Grandma Spinelli at your moms house in the evening with pie and Rolaids.

Sounds like you had fun! Any interesting foods?

Hi Karen,
There were a lot of interesting things but unfortunately nothing I was able to eat. Someone brought Chicken curry, a Pakistan dessert, a trifle, mashed sweet potatoes and I don't even remember what else.

Soooooo! What did you end up eating????????

Hmmm, somebody made a vegetarian nut roast so we ate that - it was really yummy. Other than that I just had salad, beans, bread. For dessert I made cranberry crumble bars so I had that too.
The non vegetarians were able to try all of the other goodies that we don't usually have for Thanksgiving in the states : )
